This page contains links to downloads of extracts from some of my pieces, or in some cases, a soundfile for the whole piece. Links to writings on this site are on the archive page.

There are some comments on the file formats I have been trying to use.

Audio extracts

These are all stereo; most of them are in AAC (MP4) format; a couple are in MP3 format. The AAC files can be played with Apple's QuickTime player (Quicktime 7 is a free download for Mac and PC). On the PC they can also be played with Winamp and Foobar2000, and no doubt other players.

Binaural stereo soundfile (MP3) for What Are You Really Thinking?
This is a headphone version of the complete piece. It was made by the organisers of the Listening to the Mind Listening event and represents all the channels of the original (16 channels = 15.1 sound). Duration: 5 mins 4 secs. Size: 4.7 Mbyte.

Stereo soundfile (AAC) for What Are You Really Thinking?
This is a stereo mix of the complete piece. It only uses 7 of the channels in the original multichannel piece. Duration: 5 mins 4 secs. Size: 4.8 Mbyte.

Video extracts

These are H.264-encoded (320x240) with AAC-encoded stereo sound. Probably they need QuickTime 7 (free download as at the top of this page under Audio extracts) to be played back. Of course they are much lower quality than the originals.

Start of extract: At the beginning (first 15 secs), then 4 mins 15 secs in.
Duration: 1 min 30 secs. Size: 3.1 Mbyte.
The first 15 seconds is silent. The original has surround sound after the first 15 secs.

This is a short video with some information about the Evochord installation.
