"Cloud Drum" at Trocadero Art Space

My new installation piece Cloud Drum will be installed at Trocadero Art Space in Footscray, Melbourne, 30th July to 16th August. My installation will be in Gallery 2. The opening is on Saturday 2nd August, 4pm - 6pm. All welcome!

Address: Level 1, 119 Hopkins St, Footscray.
It is a very short walk from Footscray railway station.

Opening hours: The gallery is open Wed - Sat, 11am - 5pm.

The installation is based on the vibrations of an idealised drum, as is Triangular Vibrations, but Cloud Drum is real-time, interactive, black-and-white, and a much gentler piece.

The installation had its first outing at this year's Australasian Computer Music Conference in Sydney, July 10-12.

More on "Triangular Vibrations"

Triangular Vibrations was included in the Art Exhibition that was part of the Computational Aesthetics Conference 2008 held in Lisbon, Portugal. It has also been included in the Liquid Architecture Screening Reel. It was part of the Sydney leg of Liquid Architecture on July 11 and 12, 2008. Also, Triangular Vibrations will be screened as part of Abstracta Cinema in Rome, Italy on 23rd September, 2008. The piece is having a good run!

"Triangular Vibrations" on tour

Ivan Zavada from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music took a program of electro-acoustic music to Sweden at the end of April, and also presented a concert in Florence at the Conservatorio Cherubini. My piece Triangular Vibrations was played at three events.
